Deputy from Crimea urges Ukrainian parliament to heed people’s voice

KIEV, March 04. /ITAR-TASS/. A member of Ukraine’s parliament, Verkhovna Rada, from the Party of Regions fraction, Vitalina Dzoz, has urged her fellow law-makers to work act on their words.

“The Crimean people stand for peace, but they want to be heard, so a delegation to the region needs to be urgently formed by deputies from different fractions. This is the only way we can find out what the Crimeans are really worried about”, she said in Russian, speaking from the Ukrainian parliament's rostrum on Tuesday.

The politician stressed the idea the deputies should bear in mind that people in Sevastopol and Lvov have different mentalities.

“In Kerch, for example, the main holiday is, actually, not Easter Day or New Year, but Victory Day, marked on May 9”, added Dzoz, asking parliament members not to be afraid to raise burning questions.
