MOSCOW, March 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, who has a telephone conversation on Tuesday, expressed the hope that measures taken by the Russian leaders would help ease socio-political tension and ensure security of Russia-speakers in Crimea and Ukraine’s eastern regions, the Kremlin press service reported.
According to the press service, the two leaders spoke “from close positions.” The sides also discussed “a number of topical issues of bilateral cooperation between Russia and China, including a plan of further top-level contacts,” the press service added.
