MOSCOW, March 04. /ITAR-TASS/. The European Union would prefer to sign the association agreement with more legitimate authorities in Kiev, Russian Ambassador to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov said on Tuesday.
“I think it would be logical for the European Union to get back to the signing of the association agreement after a legitimate government is formed in Ukraine after elections,” he told the Russia-24 news channel on Russian television.
Commenting on reports about plans to send a mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to Ukraine, Chizhov noted that “it would not be a permanent mission, it will be a short-term trip to assess the situation.” “I hope this mission will be unbiased, otherwise there is no sense in it.
