Lavrov to travel to Tunisia March 4

MOSCOW, March 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will travel to Tunisia on Tuesday, March 4, on a working visit at the invitation of its Foreign Minister Mongi Hamdi.

Lavrov and Hamdi will discuss the political process in Tunisia in the light of the new constitution recently adopted in the country, the situation in North Africa and the Middle East, including Syria.

The agenda of the talks also includes bilateral relations, which include the development of trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, as well as tourism.

The ministry stressed: “Our undisputable priority is the security of Russian citizens. We hope that the Tunisian authorities will continue to take all the necessary measures to this end.”
