An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 jolted Japan's Okinawa island

TOKYO, March 03, 3:54 /ITAR-TASS/. An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 jolted Japan's Okinawa Island on Monday, the US Geological Service reported.

The epicenter of the earth jolts was at a distance of 143 km away from Okinawa Prefecture's largest city of Naha. The focus of the temblor was at a depth of 112 km.

No tsunami alert was declared. There was no immediate information on any victims or damage.
