MOSCOW, March 03, 1:06 /ITAR-TASS/. "People's assemblies in support of Ukraine and Russian-speaking population living there are to be held on Monday in the largest cities of Russia's regions bordering on Ukraine Belgorod, Bryansk, and Novocherkassk.
In Belgorod, a meeting "in support of Ukraine and against fascism in Ukraine" is to begin at 17:00, Moscow time, near the cyclorama museum "Kurskaya Bitva" (Battle at Kursk Bulge).
In Bryansk, a meeting in support of the Russian-speakers in Ukraine is to commence in the Squa of Partisans at 16:00. An application for its holding was filed with the city administration by the regional branch of the "Ukrainian community" public organization.
In Novocherkassk, Rostov Region, a meeting will be held under the slogans "We do not abandon our own people!", "For the fraternal people of Ukraine", "Glory to Berkut", "Fascism won't work", and "Putin, we are with you!"
On Sunday, thousands-strong processions and meetings in support of Ukraine and compatriots living there were held in Moscow, St Petersburg, and Krasnodar on the initiative of patriotic youth and veteran organizations. A motor bike ride, organized by the bikers' club "Night Wolves" and a motor vehicles ride under the motto "We do not abandon friendly people" also took place in the capital.
Later on, the relay of "people's assemblies" in support of Ukraine will be picked up by Russia's other cities. On March 4, the assemblies will take place in Voronezh, Kostroma, and Irkutsk they all are the partner cities of Simferopol.
