Ukrainian Naval Forces commander pledges allegiances to people of Crimea

The appointment was made after the meeting with commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Alexander Vitko in Sevastopol

SEVASTOPOL, March 02, 21:26 /ITAR-TASS/. Prime Minister of Ukraine’s autonomous republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov on Sunday appointed Rear Admiral Denis Berezovsky, who was appointed commander of the Ukrainian Navy by the Kiev authorities on Saturday, commander of the Crimean Navy. Following the appointment, Berezovsky took an oath of allegiance to the people of Crimea.

The appointment was made after a tri-party meeting between Aksenov, Berezovsky and commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Alexander Vitko in Sevastopol.
