SIMFEROPOL, March 01, /ITAR-TASS/. The leader of the far-right group Right Sector, Dmitry Yarosh, urged Chechen warlord Doku Umarov to take up arms and support anti-Russian forces in Ukraine.
“Ukrainians have always supported the liberation struggle of the Chechen and other Caucasian peoples. Now it’s the time for you to support Ukraine,” Yarosh said in his appeal posted on the group’s VKontakte page. “As the Right Sector leader I urge you to step up the fight. Russia is not as strong as it seems.”
During the first Chechen war, Yarosh was fighting against Russian troops in Chechnya on the side of its separatist forces.
