MOSCOW, February 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov met Israeli colleagues on Friday to discuss Iran’s nuclear program and chemical disarmament in Syria.
“Special attention was riveted to Iran’s nuclear dossier, chemical disarmament in Syria and counter-terrorism,” the Foreign Ministry reported.
The ministry commented on the Russian diplomat’s trip to Israel.
“The parties exchanged views to continue a dialogue on a possible agenda for a conference, which will focus on making the Middle East a zone free of nuclear weapons,” the ministry said.
“The parties confirmed that they sought to synchronize positions on the above-mentioned problems,” the ministry said.
