OTTAWA, February 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Canada regcognizes Ukraine's new government headed by Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird said Thursday arriving in Kiev.

John Beard walked in Kiev's Independance square, met protest activists and laid flowers to the portraits of the people, killed in mass riots.

On Friday John Baird is meeting the "members of the transition government and religious leaders," Canadian Foreign Ministry press service told ITAR-TASS.
