KIEV, February 27. /ITAR-TASS/. A coalition dubbed “European choice” has been formed in the Ukrainian parliament on Thursday. It comprises 250 deputies. The majority was formed of representatives of factions Batkivshchyna, UDAR, Svoboda, groups of deputies “Economic development”, “Sovereign European Ukraine” and other members of parliament.
The simple majority in the Verkhovna Rada consists of 226 deputies, and the constitutional majority — of 300 MPs.
The Party of Regions faction that earlier was ruling has announced that it goes into opposition.
According to the 2004 Constitution, to which Ukraine returned, the parliament majority forms the government.
