Arseniy Yatsenyuk may become candidate for Ukraine's premiership

The candidacy of nonfaction deputy Pyotr Poroshenko may be also put forward for the post of premier

KIEV, February 26, /ITAR-TASS/. The candidacy of Arseni Yatsenyuk, leader of the Batkivshchina faction, is under consideration for the position of premier in Ukraine's new government, Vitaly Kovalchuk, deputy chairman of the UDAR party, told journalists on Tuesday at the close of a meeting of the leaders of oppositin parties Batkivshichina, Freedom, UDAR (Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reforms, and the Council of the all-Ukraine association Maidan.

"Arseni Yatsenyuk's candidacy is discussed as of now," he said.

"The candidacy of nonfaction deputy Pyotr Poroshenko may be also put forward for the post of premier," Kovalchuk added.
