ASTANA, February 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Kazakhstan’s SCAT private air carrier announced on Tuesday that it suspended flights to the Ukrainian capital Kiev because of unstable situation in the country.
Earlier, country’s flagship carrier Air Astana said it was cancelling several flights to Kiev because of low demand. SCAT announced on Tuesday: “In view of a difficult situation in Kiev, the carrier has to suspend flights to Kiev between March 1 and 30”.
Meanwhile, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry advised Kazakh nationals staying in Kiev or planning to visit Ukraine “to exercise maximum caution, avoid sites where protests or demonstrations take place and places of mass congestion, as well as not to leave places of their residence during the night if possible”.
