Three people wounded after series of blasts in downtown Bangkok

According to local media, some 20 explosions occurred near the Lumpini Park

BANGKOK, February 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Three people were wounded as a result of several blasts that hit Bangkok’s downtown near the occupied by protesters Lumpini Park Monday night. This was reported by the ambulance center affiliated to the city administration.

According to local media, some 20 explosions occurred near the Lumpini Park. Gunmen that attacked the protesters’ camp were allegedly fired with improvised under-barrel grenade launchers. In addition, eyewitnesses say they’ve heard gunshot sounds at the scene.

During the previous week in Thailand, attacks on protesters’ camps significantly increased. In clashes that continue in the country for more than four months 22 people died and over 750 were injured. There were children among the victims.
