Ukrainian Security Service stops fulfilling its duties

KIEV, February 23, 14:05 /ITAR-TASS/. Senior officials of the Ukrainian Security Service have removed themselves from fulfilling their duties, said Valentin Nalivaichenko, who had been appointed an authorized representative for control of the service’s activity.

“There are no head of the Ukrainian Security Service or his deputies in the building,” he said. “They switched off all phones. The territory from Crimea to Chernigov has been left without control and without any plan of action. This concerns nuclear power units, meeting places, Dneproges, a hydroelectric station, and other facilities.”

Nalivaichenko called on parliamentarians to adopt a special statement obliging the Ukrainian Security Service to fulfil its obligations.
