KIEV, February 23, (ITAR-TASS) - The radical Right Sector movement has dismissed reports about plans to attack churches of the autonomous Ukrainian Orthodox Church reporting to Moscow Patriarchate, dubbing these rumors as “provocation”.
The situation at the world-famous Monastery of the Caves also known as Pechersky Laura normalizes, and “talks are underway” (with radicals) in a church that is known for giving spiritual guidance to the veterans of the war in Afghanistan or simply the “Afghan church”, the professor of the Kiev Christian Academy, Vladimir Burega, has said on his Facebook page.
Earlier, Vassily Anissimov, the chief of the press service of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church reporting to Moscow Patriarchate said protesters were moving from Kiev’s Independence Square to Pechersky Laura.
