KIEV, February 22, 15:09 /ITAR-TASS/. ass) - The Ukrainian parliament Supreme Rada has accepted Speaker Vladimir Rybak's resignation by a vote of 326.
Alexander Turchinov from the Batkivshchyna party is elected Supreme Rada Chairman.
Unaffiliated deputy Pyotr Poroshenko, withdrew as a candidate for the post in favour of Turchinov.
At the beginning of the parliament meeting on Saturday morning, Vice-Speaker Ruslan Koshulinsky announced that Rybak had offered his resignation.
