KIEV, February 20. /ITAR-TASS/. The metro in Kiev does not work, the city administration reported on Thursday.
Trains movement was suspended on Tuesday, February 18, the administration said.
Severe restrictions on road traffic are effective in downtown Kiev since the morning. Traffic has been blocked off in one of the central streets – Vladimirskaya Street. The flow from Vladimirskaya Street to Kreshchatik has been also blocked off.
According to the city administration, the work of schools and kindergartens has been suspended since February 21. The department for education, science, youth and sports said this decision had been taken for security reasons.
