KIEV, February 20, /ITAR-TASS/. Police have stopped an attempt by protesters to seize the building of the regional administration in Poltava, central Ukraine, local media outlets reported on Thursday.
Police foiled their plans, after which protesters hurled Molotov cocktails and crackers at the building. Police replied with stun grenades, forcing the protesters away from the central square.
Protesters attempted to seize and set ablaze the building of the regional administration after burning down on Wednesday the regional office of the ruling Party of Regions.
