BAKU, February 12. /ITAR-TASS/. President Ilkham Aliyev said he was sure that relations with Georgia will be dynamical and positive.
“Georgia is a close country for us. It’s our neighbour and partner and I’m sure that the future development of our relations will be very positive and dynamical. Many regional and global projects unite us. For centuries-long we demonstrated the commitment to the common goals. We’ll work hard to implement them,” the Azerbaijani president said.
Speaking at a news conference, he said both countries actively cooperated in the economic sphere and worked to increase trade turnover.
During the talks, the parties discussed joint projects, energy security, the protection of mutual investments, the improvement of the investment climate and cultural and humanitarian interaction.
Georgian President Georgy Margvelashvili said the two countries “created a precedent of special cooperation, which opens ways for nations living in the region and outside it”.
“We show an example how partners can cooperate on the regional and global scales,” he said.
