ASTANA, February 12. /ITAR-TASS/. The military court of Kazakhstan's Akmola Garrison on Wednesday sanctioned the arrest of Deputy Defense Minister Maj-Gen Bagdat Maikeyev suspected of taking a 1.5-million-dollar bribe, a court official said.

"This is a particularly serious crime which is punished by up to ten years in jail," military court chairman Daulet Moldabayev said.
