GENEVA, February 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Damascus hopes that Russia will make a statement over an unserious mood of Syrian opposition at talks in Geneva, Syrian First Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad told reporters after an inter-Syrian meeting here on Tuesday.
“The opposition has an unserious mood. We hope that our Russian friends will make a statement on the issue,” he said.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov may have separate meetings with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem and leader of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces Ahmad al-Jarba on February 12.
