SU-35 fighter planes bound for China

SINGAPORE, February 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and China will conclude a contract for Russian delivery of advanced SU-35 multipurpose fighters when all details are settled, a Russian delegation source told Itar-Tass at an international airshow here on Tuesday.

“I cannot name terms and number of fighters in the contract but it will be signed because we are working within agreements with China, including an intergovernmental agreement,” the source said, adding that any project delay would reflect standard procedures when modifications were required to export models of the warplane.

“Any country where we deliver Su aircraft puts forward specific requirements," the source said. "They always concern state identification systems, short-range navigation, communications devices, sometimes satellite navigation systems depending on which system the customer uses.”

Significant changes were not planned, the source added.
