KIEV, February 10. /ITAR-TASS/. The Party of Regions has urged prosecutors to “give legal assessment” to opposition’s attempts of creating “paramilitary units,” the party said in its statement to Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office on Monday.
“The opposition leaders are bringing back the turbulent 90s to Ukraine. Unlawful actions will be carried out in the name of the ‘Maidan’,” the Party of Regions said in its statement.
The Party of Regions has criticized the opposition for being too carried away by “war games”, warning their actions could be followed by criminal prosecution.
“We are convinced that international public will give an assessment to the opposition’s militaristic initiative,” the ruling party said adding that it hoped that Europe and the United States would also raise their voices against the opposition’s militaristic intentions.
