BEIRUT, February 07. /ITAR-TASS/. Damascus has confirmed that it will take part in the second round of the Geneva II Peace Conference on the Syrian settlement scheduled for February 10, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said on Friday.

“Syria’s delegation took the decision to take part in the Geneva conference on Monday, February 3,” Mekdad said.

On February 4, after the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov head of the Syrian National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces Ahmed al-Jarba said the Coalition would take part in the upcoming round of the inter-Syrian talks in Geneva.
