GENEVA, January 28, 23:13 /ITAR-TASS/. Both Russia and the United States want the peace talks on Syria to be a success, Lakhdar Brahimi, the United Nations and Arab League Special Envoy to Syria, told reporters on Tuesday, summing up the results of another day of consultations between the delegations of the Syrian government and the opposition in the framework of Geneva II conference.
“The United States and Russia work together with us in the context of the trilateral consultations among the United Nations, United States and Russian Federation, and I am sure they are serious and want the peace talks to be a success,” Brahimi noted.
“I have no doubt of that,” he said.
