Klichko pledges to do everything to prevent bloodshed

Opposition leader gave a speech at Independence Square in Kiev before going to the extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada

KIEV, January 28. /ITAR-TASS/. UDAR party leader Vitaly Klichko, addressing demonstrators at Independence Square before the beginning of the Verkhovna Rada meeting on Tuesday, said he would do everything to prevent bloodshed. "It is our task," he stated.

Klichko said he would return to the Square after the parliament meeting to tell people about the results.

The extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada is expected to focus on issues that are very important for the authorities and the opposition and may radically influence future developments in the country.
