Protesters stab 3 policemen in southern Ukraine’s Kherson

KIEV, January 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Extremist protesters in southern Ukraine’s Kherson stabbed three policemen, the country’s Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

“A call came at 20:00 local time (18:00 GMT) January 27 in the alert force of the Ukrainian police department in Kherson Region that unidentified criminals inflicted bodily wounds to two people in the city of Kherson. A group of detectives rushed to the crime scene. Detectives found out that several young people inflicted knife wounds to three officers of the criminal search unit of the regional police department,” the country’s Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The offenders, who turned out to be students from a higher education institution in the city of Kherson, were detained, and a criminal case was opened against them.

Two wounded policemen are in intensive care.
