KIEV, January 26, 17:18 /ITAR-TASS/. Opposition activists have made an attempt to seize the building of the city administration in the Ukrainian city of Azporozhye, the Ukrainian news television channel TSN said on its website on Sunday.
The building is cordoned off by the police who trying to hold in a crowd of several thousands of protesters. They police are aided by supporters of the incumbent authorities. Some media claim the police had used tear gas and smoke bombs.
The city’s police department opened a criminal case over an attempted seizure of the administration building, the press service of the Zaporozhye prosecutor’s office said.
