Protesters in Ukraine plan to seize Prosecutor General's Office

On Friday, protesters in Kiev seized the building of the Agrarian Policy Ministry

KIEV, January 25, /ITAR-TASS/. Radical protesters are planning to seize the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office, demonstrators told an Itar-Tass correspondent on Saturday.

Up to 600 people may participate in the seizure, they said.

On Friday, protesters in Kiev seized the building of the Agrarian Policy Ministry. They have already occupied the Kiev city administration, the House of Trade Unions and the October Palace for almost two months. Protesters also take aim at the central office of the company Naftogaz of Ukraine.

In the past two days, radical groups, including members of Trizub, UNA-UNSO, Right Sector and the football alliance, seized a number of regional administrations. In some regions, they are supported by local opposition forces and ordinary citizens.

For the present, protesters have seized administration buildings in ten regions. The area of protest have expanded to the Kiev, Zhitomir, Khmelnitsky, Rovno, Ternopol, Chernovtsy, Ivano-Frankovsk, Lvov, Vinnitsa and Chernigov regions. Under siege are the regional administrations in the Trans-Carpathian and Volyn regions. In Cherkassy, police retook the earlier seized regional administration building.
