KIEV, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. More than 100 radically minded people have blocked Lvov-Krakovets road that is leading to Krakovets checkpoint in western Ukraine. Demonstrators have been burning down car tires all night long, blocking a road leading to the city of Novoyavorovsk. Around 50 heavy-duty trucks have lined up on the road on Friday.
Two road police patrols and officers from the Novoyavorovsk police department arrived at the incident site, the road police inspection in Lvov Region told Itar-Tass on Friday. However, protesters refuse to unblock the road, claiming that they are supporting this way protesters in Grushevskogo Street in Ukraine’s capital Kiev.
Oppositionists keep blocking the buildings housing regional authorities and the bases of Berkut police commandos and interior troops in the city of Lvov. Last night protesters were building a barricade of bags filled with snow, tree trunks and car tires at the regional authority compound. They have occupied the compound and mounted a scene near it. Protesters behave calmly.

A criminal case was opened over seizure of the building housing the Lvov regional authorities for capture of state or public buildings or facilities.
