KIEV, January 23. /ITAR-TASS/. Kiev television channel has resumed work in its routine mode after a night raid by opposition extremists, its acting director Svetlana Krivoruchko has said.
The acting director also said the stolen vehicles were at the moment part of the barricades in central Kiev.
Ukrainian Interior Ministry sources have confirmed that “several young men — participants in mass rallies, broke into the office of the company going on the rampage”. Law enforcement agencies are looking into the incident. Protesters use tires for “fiery barricades” that block Kiev’s central Grushevsky Street. Dense smoke and the smell of burning have been hovering over downtown Kiev, where protests against new laws which aim to curb public protests have spilled into violence.
