MONTREUX, January 22. /ITAR-TASS/. The Syrian crisis must be settled by way of a consensus, Secretary General of the League of Arab States (LAS) Nabil Al-Arabi stated on Wednesday at the international peace conference.

“The state should be restored, we want the crisis to end on the basis of peace achieved by negotiations and consensus,” he said. “There cannot be other solution.”

“It is important to use the chance to stop this tremendous conflict,” Al-Arabi noted, adding that “cases of human rights violation in Syria shouldn’t remain unpunished.”
