KIEV, January 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian police have seized containers with incendiary compound from protesters in central Kiev, an Interior Ministry official said.
"The compound contained liquid soda, a flammable and explosive substance," the police official said.
Police seized the containers after receiving a tip. The containers were stored near the Dinamo stadium, he noted adding that part of the incendiary compound had already been sent for recycling.
As police scuffled with rally participants during the raid to seize the containers, it detained several persons who were most aggressive in the crowed. Law-enforcers then retreated to the cordon around the government building.
