Pakistani air forces carry out missile and bombing raid on Taliban positions

27 people were killed, including civilians

ISLAMABAD, January 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Jets of Pakistan’s Air Forces carried out a missile and bombing raid on staging areas of Taliban militants in the so-called “tribal area” on the Pakistano-Afghani border. According to local media reports, several houses were destroyed.

A representative of the Taliban movement said 27 people were killed, including civilians.

Local political analysts believe these actions of the military became a response to recent terrorist attacks. Last Sunday, Taliban militants attacked a military escort, and Monday, January 20, they set off a bomb near the army’s headquarters. As a result of these two attacks, 30 people died and about 40 were injured.
