MOSCOW, January 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Syrian Vice-Premier Qadri Jamil said his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would focus on preparations for the Geneva II Peace Conference.
“I’ll meet Sergei Lavrov today to discuss preparations for the Geneva II Peace Conference on Syria,” Jamil said.
“We want to express our view on the situation in Syria. We said earlier that it was impossible to settle the crisis by military means. So, we’re pleased with holding the Geneva II Conference,” he said, adding “We want to create favorable conditions for making the conference successful.
