MOSCOW, January 17. /ITAR-TASS/. Syrian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Walid Muallem, when opening the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow, confirmed Damascus's participation in the Geneva II international conference
"We are sure, and proceed from it, that a peaceful dialogue is the only way to settle the crisis in Syria," he said.
A dialogue between Syrians themselves will lead to a better future, he added.
The government intends to continue the work to meet Syrian people's expectations and carry out Syrian President Bashar Assad's orders, the minister said.
Muallem noted counteraction against terrorism was of prime priority for Syrian people.
