MOSCOW, January 15, 23:47 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met with Lebanese Ambassador in Moscow Shawqi Bou Nassar on Wednesday, January 15, to discuss the preparation of the international conference on Syria known as Geneva II.
The diplomats discussed pressing issues on the Middle East agenda with a focus on the situation in Lebanon and the preparation of Geneva II, the Foreign Ministry said.
They stressed that “progress towards political settlement in Syria by convening the international conference should become a factor helping normalise the situation in the Middle East as a whole,” the ministry said.
