PRAGUE, January 14, 20:40 /ITAR-TASS/. Czech President Milos Zeman on Tuesday confirmed his intention to be present at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
“I will go to the Olympics at the invitation of the Czech Olympic Committee. I am planning to meet the former Olympic athletes in Sochi,” Zeman said.
The president of the Czech Republic is convinced that it is stupid to refuse from visiting the Olympic Games for political motives. “It is nonsense,” he said.
This is going to be Zeman’s first foreign visit since last autumn when the president injured his knee and had to cancel all trips.
