Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry recalls ambassador in Tajikistan

BISHKEK, January 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry has recalled Ambassador to Tajikistan Urmat Saralayev for consultations due to the incident in the Batken district.

“In order to hold consultations due to the incident in the Batken district, Kyrgyzstan, (on January 11) Kyrgyz Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Tajikistan Urmat Saralayev was recalled on January 14, 2014,” the ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.

During the consultations, the parties agreed to investigate the causes of the conflict. Law enforcers of both countries are patrolling the border zone, the press release says.
