PYONGYANG, January 12, /ITAR-TASS/. North Korea has launched official preparations for regular parliamentary elections to be held on March 9. A 13-member central electoral commission has been formed, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

These are going to be the first elections to the one-chamber North Korean parliament since Kim Jong-un rose to power in December 2011.
