BEIRUT, January 08, 5:09 /ITAR-TASS/. The National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces (NCR) has postponed until January 17 the consideration of the issue of its participation in the Geneva 2 peace conference, a source in this largest foreign opposition group, based in Istanbul, told the Sky News Arabia TV channel on Tuesday.
“There are still no guarantees that the upcoming international forum will be a success and will make it possible to fulfil the Syrian revolution objectives,” the source said.
NCR on Wednesday received an official invitation from UN Secretary- General Ban Ki-moon to attend the conference on the Syrian conflict resolution that will be opened in Switzerland on January 22.
