BEIJING, January 06, 11:24 /ITAR-TASS/. The death toll from an explosion in an intercity bus in Weinan, northwest China’s Shaanxi province, on Sunday has increased to five after a critically injured passenger died in hospital.
Another 24 injured passengers remain in hospitals, China’s Xinhua news agency reported.
According to the local authorities, the explosion occurred approximately 200 meters from a bus station in Weinan at 18:40 local time (14:40 Moscow time) on January 5. The bus was on its way from the provincial capital of Xian.
The cause of the blast has not been determined yet.
