The European Union summit opened in Brussels on Friday, December 20. It will end the semi-annual EU presidency of Lithuania. The forum’s opening was accompanied by protests of trade unions and leftist organizations. Activists have blocked some of the main streets in central areas of the Belgian capital. The traffic blocking made European politicians come late to the meeting in the Marble Palace of the European Council.
