Opposition blocks Ukrainian parliament’s presidium and rostrum

KIEV, December 17. /ITAR-TASS/. A group of opposition deputies have blocked the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) ahead of a plenary session. About 30 deputies from the factions of the opposition Batkivshchina, UDAR and Svoboda (Freedom) parties block the parliament’s presidium and rostrum.

They have not explained the reasons as of yet. Meanwhile, the situation around the parliament building is calm. An indefinite pro-government action continues on Kiev’s Constitution Square in front of the parliament.
