TOKYO, December 17. /ITAR-TASS /. At a solemn meeting on the occasion of the second anniversary of the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il was missing his younger sister, Kim Kyong Hui — aunt of current leader Kim Jong-un, as Tokyo TV outlets reported on Tuesday.

67-year-old Kim Kyong Hui was wife of the former “number two man” in North Korea — Deputy Chairman of the State Defense Committee Jang Song-Thaek. He was executed December 13 by the verdict of a special military tribunal that found him guilty of treason.

According to media reports, after Jang Song-Thaek’s execution his widow appeared in the list of participants of official events. It is believed to be indicative that she retains her high position of a member of the Political Bureau of the Workers' Party of Korea. At the same time, according to NHK, lately there have been reports that Kim Kyong Hui’s health was worsening.

TBS TV commentator drew attention to the fact that at the honorary presidium of the solemn assembly closest to the leader of North Korea was sitting the head of the Main Political Directorate of the Korean People's Army (KPA) Choe Ryong Hae. In Tokyo and Seoul say that now he may became a trustee of the head of the country.
