Pickets at Ukraine government buildings in Kiev lifted

KIEV, December 15, 21:02 /ITAR-TASS/. The opposition has lifted pickets at the buildings of the Ukrainian Security Service, Interior Ministry and Central Election Commission, and pro-EU protesters are returning to Kiev’s Independence Square.

No incidents were fixed during the pickets, and no protesters can be seen near these buildings, Tass reports from the site.

The Security Service and Interior Ministry buildings were picketed as the opposition holds these agencies responsible for a violent crackdown on protesters on November 30. The Central Election Commission building was the target because Ukraine holds on Sunday re-run parliamentary elections in five ‘problem’ constituencies.
