KIEV, December 13. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s Association Agreement with the European Union has been prepared with violations of Ukrainian national interests, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich told a roundtable meeting on crisis settlement on Friday.
He promised to dismiss from service or even fire those people who were responsible for drafting the text of the agreement. “This is my position of principle,” Yanukovich said.
“I can understand why the results of the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius have caused so much criticism in society oriented at European integration,” the Ukrainian president went on to say.
He assured the Ukrainian people that Ukraine had not given up and would never abandon its course toward European integration.
“We have been on the path of reforms and European integration and we are going to stick to this course,” Yanukovich emphasized.
