Four people wounded in accident at LUKOIL oil refinery in Bulgaria

A 51-year-old man had 45% of his body burnt

SOFIA, December 13. /ITAR-TASS/. Four people were hurt in an accident at the LUKOIL Neftochim Burgas, the largest oil refinery in Southeastern Europe, on Friday afternoon.

The company said that the accident had been caused by an electric short circuit during planned works to dismantle electric cables. Four people who got an electric shock received burns of various degree of gravity. A 51-year-old man had 45% of his body burnt. Doctors have taken him to a hospital in the town of Varna, a source at the first aid station in Burgas said. A commission has been set up to investigate the causes that led to the accident.
