STRASBOURG, December 12 (Itar-Tass) - European Parliament members have adopted a resolution which accuses Russia of political and economic pressures on Ukraine. A corresponding paragraph was included in the resolution on the Vilnius summit and the future of the Eastern Partnership approved on Thursday, on the last day of the European Parliament's meeting.
The document also contains a call on the European Union “for developing and applying a policy of an adequate response” to the Russian policy towards its Eastern partners. the European Parliament members stressed in the document that the Association Agreement was a matter of argument concerning only two sides, and therefore, it was unacceptable to draw a third side into the process.
The European Parliament resolution is not legally binding.
